Change of the validity period for single and double-entry visas issued by the Islamic Republic of Iran
Effective from 30th April 2025 (10/2/1404 in the Iranian calendar) the validity period for single and double-entry visas issued by the Islamic Republic of Iran will be reduced from 90 days to 45 days. Accordingly the Islamic Republic of Iran visas holders will be able to enter Iran up to 45 days after the date of issuance.
The validity period of a visa is the period of time calculated from the date of visa issuance, and the visa holder can enter Iran within that time.   Old Validity: Iranian visas (single and double entry) were previously valid for 90 days from the date of issuance, allowing holders to enter Iran within that period. New Validity: From 30th April, 2025, the single and double entry visa validity period will be reduced to 45 days, meaning visa holders will have 45 days to enter Iran from the date of issuance.   Duration of Stay: It should be noted that the aforementioned change only includes the validity period of the visa, not the duration of stay, meaning the period of time that the applicant is allowed to stay and reside in the country after entry, has not changed and remains up to 90 days depending on the type of visa issued. The 45-day validity period only includes single-entry and double-entry visas, and the validity period of multiple-entry visas of three months, six months, and one year remains unchanged.
