The Supreme Council of Free Trade Industrial and Special Economic Zones of the Islamic Republic of Iran serves as the highest policymaking and coordinating authority overseeing the country’s free trade zones industrial zones and special economic zones. Established to enhance economic competitiveness attract foreign investment and promote export-oriented growth the Council plays a central role in integrating Iran’s economy into regional and international markets.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has strategically developed a network of Free Trade Zones (FTZs), Special Economic Zones (SEZs), and industrial hubs as key instruments for sustainable economic development, trade facilitation, and industrial diversification.
